Darrel Nelson is a retired schoolteacher and lives with his wife, Marsha, in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. They are the parents of four children and are proud grandparents. Would be 5 stars but... *SPOILER ALERT*

This is a 100% spoiler for the ending (and a spoiler alert for the reason it doesn't have 5 stars) and this is your official warning...

In the second to last chapter the author made it sound like Rain had died. Totally screwed with my emotions because I HATE when books end like that. I almost didn't read the last chapter I was so upset and if I hadn't I would have put this author on my "no read" list. Which is upsetting in itself because I really did like the book. I understand why the author would portray the situation as that way in lieu of setup, but it still really messed with me and I don't think I recommend this book to any "happy end-ers" (like me) without a warning first...

A Wonderful Love Story

I just finished "Following Rain," It is a wonderful love story that has some surprising twists in the second half. The author writes with an easy style but one that keeps you going. The characters were both believable and likable. The point of view switched frequently but not so often that it was hard to follow. As I was reading, I was wishing that it wasn't a fictional story!
