TESOL/ESL departments should have this

I have zero affiliation with the author and can say from a neutral standpoint that this book is truly brilliant.

I NEEDED this when I was teaching classes of 70+ back in Japan, and found that a lot of the organizational tactics of how to develop ideas were highly valuable. Later, more recently I can across Differentiate Instruction and to be very fair I feel Hess is presenting a lot of DI within the activities that allow us to cater to a lot of students at one time - with the same target language but acknowledging the fact that each student will have a different baseline proficiency. Hess does not get too deep into this - but gets into activities that simply work.

A language school and colleges with TESOL/ESL departments should have this, especially ones where large communicative lessons are the "institutes" goal.

Great Book for Mulitlevel Class Ideas and Tips

I really enjoyed browsing this book and will take many ideas from it. I've already use a couple of the ideas, and they were a great success.
It's not all just games and such either. there are suggestions for making learning stations that aren't teacher dependent, and suggestions on how to get the students involved in their own learning responsibilities.

I'm glad I got this book!

Tried and True!!

This book is tried and true!! The author, Natalie Hess, was my Master's degree advisor, so I had quite a few classes with her. She used EVERY ONE of the ideas in this book with our classes, and in turn, I've used them with mine in the States. Now I'm teaching English in Iraq, and the same techniques STILL work!! Whether you teach ESL, ESOL, EFL, or ANY class, these ideas will work for you!!! Thanks Natalie!!
